THE EMPTY CHAMBE – Episode 7

Eighteen years after his mother Iona’s death, Keir Doran walks into a charity gala and pulls a gun on Narek Terzian, the man he believes killed her. The gun clicks empty. Narek knew Keir was coming and had the ammunition removed. Instead of having him killed, he offers a six-hour truce to trace a newly used credential bearing Iona’s name. Their search leads to VERSO, a system holding evidence of crimes alongside private records used to control people. Keir discovers that Narek tried to draw danger away from Iona that night, yet later hid evidence, watched Keir for years and used his hatred as bait. As they grow close, neither can ignore those choices—or Keir’s own decision to file a false claim that leaves workers exposed to an attack. With investigator Romy Serrat, they recover the original records and obtain a confession from Iona’s killer. Together, Keir and Narek make VERSO publish its criminal evidence and destroy its private dossiers. Both then admit their own crimes. Six months later, still awaiting sentencing, they meet for twenty minutes under court supervision. The door stays open. Narek offers his hand and lets Keir decide whether to take it.
