Hannah Marshall, a medical student in the Republican era accidentally saves the Green’s boss Adam Fuller and falls in love with him. Once a delicate and sheltered girl Hannah is molded by Adam into a formidable mafia queen who can handle any crisis. Believing their love would last forever she is shattered when Adam grows cold and discards her becoming infatuated with the innocent Caroline Ellis. To legitimize his relationship with Caroline, Adam has Hannah brutally murdered. Reborn into a second life Hannah vows never to love Adam again. Instead she uses her medical expertise to save the people of the city and dedicate herself to serving her country and society.
