Half-wolf Ella Moonshadow searches for treatment for her blind, gravely ill mother Liana while caring for her younger sister Mira, but pureblood healers reject them because of their mixed blood. A royal silver-wolf hairpin and an old dagger uncover a buried truth: Ella is the daughter of Liana and Sebastian Silverblood, a royal werewolf whose memories were altered after an assassination plot twenty years earlier. Queen Isabella tried to kill Liana, stole power, and erased Sebastian's love. After her mother dies, Ella enters the Soul-Devouring Forest with Mira and learns to survive on her own. She later fights beside Sebastian, exposes Isabella with archived evidence, and chooses to continue her own journey before returning to fully accept him as her father.
