A thousand years ago, when the elves were nearly wiped out by the orcs, the dragons stepped in to save them—but with a brutal catch. Every time a new Dragon King took the throne, the elves had to offer up a virgin princess, whose fertile bloodline would bear an heir for the dragon clan. Lora, the illegitimate daughter of the elven king, was blackmailed by her stepmother into taking Princess Bella's place, sent alone into the dragon's lair as a bride. But the new dragon prince, Draven, wasn't the tyrant the legends made him out to be. Instead, he struck a deal with her: give him an heir, and he'd free her mother and grant her true freedom. Day by day, something shifted. Draven found himself falling for Lora's gentle heart, and Lora, in turn, opened up to him—willingly carrying his child. Then crisis struck again. The orcs returned, and Draven was gravely wounded, in desperate need of healing blood. That's when Bella showed up, playing the "true princess" card, waltzing in to tend to Draven while poisoning his trust in Lora. Lora, heartsick and misunderstood, walked away—only to be snatched by orcs and used as leverage against Draven. At the breaking point, Draven risked everything to save her, drove back the orcs, and exposed Bella's schemes. In the end, the bastard bride who was never meant to belong claimed the Dragon King's one and only heart—and became the one true queen of the dragon clan.
