Royal heir Cedric is burned at his wedding by fiancé Grayson and foster sister Liana. Reborn the night before, he abandons the revenge leader he once trusted and contracts with Aldric, a dangerous shadow-dragon lord. Cedric appears to be a weak Beta but is actually a drug-suppressed supreme Omega capable of turning an Alpha's power against him. At the Royal Contract Academy, he uses memories of his first life to reverse Liana's schemes and discovers an ancient bloodline of his own. As Aldric's dormant divine power awakens, they fight chancellor Morris's plan to resurrect an old god, burn the deity away, and bind themselves eternally by an oath of ash.
