His Hidden Promise to Me

Independent illustrator Chloe, forced to pay off her seriously ill father's debts, signed a one-year fake marriage contract with cold Wall Street tycoon heir Alexander. Expecting a cold transaction, she discovered that this "ruthless tyrant" was actually an extremely overprotective "wife-doting maniac." Faced with the snobbish ex-boyfriend and insufferable relatives, Alexander used absolute wealth and power to publicly defend his wife, ruthlessly slapping down the villains. During their sweet cohabitation, every scheming green-tea rival who showed her face was instantly and mercilessly crushed by the male lead. When the contract expired, Alexander tore it up and confessed with red-rimmed eyes. Chloe, in turn, healed his emotional wounds with love, and their fake arrangement turned real — a love that ran both ways.
