Ashes and Morning Star

On the day of the lunar eclipse at the execution platform of Greycliff City in the North, Elden Nightbreeze, the Elven High Inquisitor, raises his sword. An inch before the blade slits the condemned prisoner's throat, he recognizes the man: Kasean, the bard who saved his life on the southern border three years ago and shared a summer of fleeting love with him.The sword swerves. In that instant, the inquisitor becomes a traitor, and the law turns meaningless. He falsifies the execution record and hides this dragon captive in his private manor, chaining the hands that once caressed him with enchanted shackles.Inside the cell, dragon and elf clash between judgment and forbidden desire. Outside, Head Elder Selindia tightens the noose. A tale of taboo love, blood purges and reversed identities begins with that trembling sword tip.
